So many times during my youth
I just had to get away . . . alone.
To seek answers about important things,
discover insights about the truth, or myself,
escape from daunting realities.
So much time alone, contemplating things
that appear so trivial now.
So much wasted time . . . gone forever.
What a fool I was.
I wish you had found me then.
So much wasted time I could have spent loving you
. . .
and learning what really mattered.
